AELA

 

AELA is the national association for the equipment leasing and financing industry. AELA’s members encompass more than 90 percent of equipment finance activity in Australia.

With lease and equipment finance facilitating around 40 percent of the nation’s equipment capital expenditure, the industry is vitally involved in the equipping of Australia’s productive base.

The volume of general equipment finance in 2011 was $36.7 bilion, with fleet leasing a further $4.5 billion, taking the total to $41.3 billion. This is an increase of 11% on 2010. Total receivables at the end of 2011 were $92 billion.
